Camp
UC Berkeley’s Girls in Engineering (GiE) offers a week-long, introductory STEM summer camp for middle school students.
Our campers are exposed to a broad range of STEM fields. They develop hard and soft skills, hone their critical thinking and creative problem solving skills, and gain intuition, understanding, and confidence through doing.

Be a Camper
Led by UC Berkeley staff and researchers, our summer camp introduces middle school students to the many facets of engineering, design thinking, and real-world problem solving in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Be a Volunteer
Volunteer to be a Counselor in Training (CIT) for the Girls in Engineering (GiE) summer camp. Support staff and campers with hands-on activities, design challenges, and behind-the-scenes lab tours.
“I had a great experience at the GiE summer camp. The camp provides many educational and fun hands on opportunities and team-building challenges.”
